DESIGN PROCESS
As mentioned previously, the project stands in its very early stages, but below is a showcase of how the process currently looks, as well as looking forward to the weeks and months ahead. Although I recognize am not yet at a level of digital design that many applicants will be with regards to the tools currently used (e.g. Illustrator/Blender/Marvelous Designer), I do believe I have the skillset to deliver a brand with real stature and longevity – something I’m truly excited by.
STEP 1

SKETCH
Each design begins with the original sketch. This particular design came before integrating the signature 'P' of the heel, something that offers both functional structure to each shoe as well as serving as a consistent brand identifier across all styles and variants.
STEP 2

DIGITAL MOCKUP
Once each design has been loosely sketched, I will then very simply use MS Powerpoint to create a more defined mockup of the shoe itself. You will now notice her the signature 'P' has been added to the heel.
STEP 3

DIGITAL MOCKUP ON-MODEL
At this point, I will begin to think more about functionality, whether on a human or avatar. Again on MS Powerpoint, I will add the model and also the various colourways to each shoe (if applicable). You'll also notice in Drop 2 that skin tones are being updated to ensure optimal colour matching.
STEP 4 (PENDING)

3D RENDER
I am very nearly at the stage of reaching out to studios to cover 3D rendering. I'm looking to future proof by aiming for renders that have compatability across platforms (ideally similar to digital products sold on DRESSX).
STEP 5 (PENDING)

3D ANIMATION (NFT)
This stage is geared directly toward the sale of NFTs. I feel it is important to have a level of dynamism on Opensea, particularly when quoting an opening price point of 0.5 ETH. The idea is to have the model walking left to right (thigh down in-shot, e.g. Step 3).
STEP 6 (PENDING)

PHYSICAL SAMPLING/PRODUCTION
I have reached out to an ex-designer of footwear for Valentino, who has provided tech packs of select skus from Drop 2. The aim would be to acquire final samples for each for promotional purposes, then moving towards full production post-NFT sellthrough.
